So I recently purchased the Carli Bybel Palette because the first time they were for sale they were sold out within minutes! I was looking forward to using it because of the mauve-y colors that are perfect for fall and winter. Now that I finally have it here is my review...
Pros: The Price! BH Cosmetics's prices are similar to drugstore prices so it is definitely affordable. If you're just starting out with makeup but want to try what a lot of people have right now then this is the right palette for you. The shadows are all beautiful colors. I love how it has the neutral tones as well as the darker mauve colors. The highlight colors are also really nice and will really enhance your look.
Cons: I did find that the shadows are a little bit chalky or powdery. My quick fix for it was to wet my brush (just a tiny bit) with my setting spray by NYX and it fixed the problem. If you try this, make sure not to wet it too much. What I do is I will wet a paper towel then dab the brush into it. If you get your brush too wet the shadow will apply really streaky. The packaging was not all that for me personally, but I'm sure they didn't do anything fancy so that they could keep the cost down.
Overall, I love the palette so far. I've used it a couple times and the durability is great. I just think that it's a great fall/winter palette and the colors are really pretty especially if you're currently into the mauve craze.
